Financial Aid

All students planning to attend college are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You will not be given a financial aid and award package from the college until this step is complete. Click here to complete the FAFSA Application.

Step 1: Create an FSA ID -https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/account-info

The student needs their own FSA ID and ONE parent needs an FSA ID (the parent whose taxes are being used if parents are separated/divorces). Students and parents should each use their own unique email address and students should NOT use their hammond.edu email.

Step 2: Fill out the FAFSA Application

Income information will be prior prior year so students applying to college for Fall 2020 would use their parent's 2018 tax information. Students applying to college for Fall 2021 would use their parent's 2019 tax information.

Step 3: Fill out the Excelsior Scholarship application when it becomes available. More information can be found at:
