Financial Aid

All students planning to attend college are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You will not be given a financial aid and award package from the college until this step is complete. Click here to complete the FAFSA Application.

Step 1: Create an FSA ID -https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/account-info

The student needs their own FSA ID and ONE parent needs an FSA ID (the parent whose taxes are being used if parents are separated/divorces). Students and parents should each use their own unique email address and students should NOT use their hammond.edu email.

Step 2: Fill out the FAFSA Application

Income information will be prior prior year so students applying to college for Fall 2026 would use their parent's 2024 tax information.

Step 3: Fill out the Excelsior Scholarship application when it becomes available. More information can be found at:
