Hello everyone, I'm extremely excited to be the Guidance/School Counselor for Hammond Central School! I am a recent graduate through St. Bonaventure University (2021), where I received my master’s degree in K-12 School Counseling. I have also received my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development Family Relations, with a concentration in adolescence through SUNY Plattsburgh. As a Guidance Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. I am committed to establishing an atmosphere of positive reinforcement, respect, and understanding in order for students to achieve success and growth. I make every effort to help each student cope with the varying emotional issues they may face during this transitional period of life. Additionally, I aim to effect a smooth transition for students from middle school to high school and on to future choices in either a career or a college experience.

Hello Everyone,

 

My name is Jennifer Graveline and am thrilled to be joining the Hammond School District this year as a School Counselor. I received my Master’s degree in School Counseling from Capella University and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from SUNY Empire State.

 

I am a native of Ogdensburg and am the youngest of 5 siblings. I am married with 2 children, 19 and 16. I love to travel, read, cook, bake and spend time with my family and friends. My husband and I also own and operate a restaurant in Ogdensburg.

 

My intent is to provide academic, social and emotional support to students K-12. I will also be leading Social Emotional Learning lessons to students K-8. I am here to advocate for all students and develop an authentic trusting relationship with them. When I speak to your children, it is not because they are in trouble, it is to talk, solve problems and help them become the best versions of themselves.
