Welcome Message

Welcome to Hammond’s Committee on Special Education

My name is Nicki O’Donnell, and it is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as Hammond’s CPSE/CSE Chairperson and 504 Coordinator. I am a native of the North Country and a graduate of Morristown Central School, SUNY Potsdam, and SUNY Oswego. My certifications are in elementary education K-6, reading K-12 and educational leadership. I have been an educator in the Morristown School District for over 19 years and have taught elementary grades 3-6, Title I reading K-6 and AIS K-12. Beyond my role as a classroom teacher, I assisted in developing Morristown’s Response to Intervention (RtI) plan, coordinated i-Ready diagnostic testing and created AIS schedules. Additionally, I was a member of the technology committee, the communication committee, and the Child Study Team. For the past two summers, I collaboratively planned and coordinated Morristown’s Green Rockets Rising summer program for grades Pre-K-8.

I look forward to working with Hammond’s students, families & staff to ensure every child has access to a rigorous educational program that is designed to meet their individual needs and prepare them for college, careers, and life.
